A fabulously rare pair of roman officers bronze dividers.
These item which date to circa 2nd -4th century AD, are in stunning overall condition..
They are set in the closed position and have been that way for over 1600 years.
This piece still retain its very rare spacer which is attached.to the axis bar.
Used in building walls, roads and fortifications and to measure distance , these seldom are available to buy and are only seen in important collections.
