A very high quality and seldom encountered roman military solid silver cloak brooch.

This item which dates to circa 3rd century AD, is in excellent allover condition and free from restoration and repair.

The original fastening pin has been lost in antiquity but likely how it was mislaid in the roman period and all part of its history..

Size 5.4 CM in Length.

Ex. Northumberland find and collection 1980.
