A very good quality bronze sestertius coin of the emperor Gordian 111.

This coin which dates to circa 238-244 AD, is in lovely overall condition.

The obverse side shows the bust of Gordian 111,whilst the reverse showssecuritas holding a sceptre.

Lincolnshire excavations 1972.
