A vintage Moorcroft vase in the Magnolia design by Walter Moorcroft.
The height of the vase is 93mm
Regarding age it can often be difficult to state with absolute certainty as it was not until 1990 that Moorcroft began using year cyphers to show when an item was actually made.
With this vase however the date range can be narrowed down due to the style and positioning of the backstamps. The MOORCROFT and MADE IN ENGLAND backstamps (both impressed) suggest a date range c1949 to 1986 but as this design was introduced in 1976 the date of production should therefore be from 1976 to 1986.
The vase is clearly of genuine vintage age.
This vase is in excellent condition with the bright magnolia flowers on the dark blue ground making for a very attractive and decorative piece of art pottery.
