The anemone pattern was first designed by William Moorcroft in 1938 and then redrawn by Walter Moorcroft in 1975. Walter Moorcroft retired in 1987 but in 1988 he was invited to redraw the original design, and the new range was issued in 1989.
The backstamps include the iron year cypher for 1998 showing this as the year the vase was made.
The vase has been closely inspected and assessed as in excellent condition.
This vintage Moorcroft vase is available by online order only however if visiting the Antiques Centre in York further pieces of Moorcroft pottery can be viewed in Cabinet 138 on the Lower Ground Floor i.e. from early vintage to more modern examples.
