A vintage Moorcroft inverted rim bowl in the Leaf and Berry design by William Moorcroft.
The diameter is 117mm and the height 33mm.
Leaf and Berry is an early design which research indicates is one of the designs in the factory sales book for 1934 and 1935.
Moorcroft was awarded the royal warrant in 1928 and on the base of this bowl to the bottom right hand side of the signature is the impressed POTTER TO HM THE QUEEN mark. This combination of signature and impressed mark was used from 1928 to 1949.
The bowl is clearly a genuine vintage item.
When bowls are included with vases and other taller items they can make for a particularly interesting and attractive display. Many examples of this can be seen in Moorcroft catalogues and reference books etc.
The bowl is in excellent vintage condition.
