A Moorcroft Collectors Club vase from 1996.
A substantial item with a height of 160 mm (6.29inch) and a weight of 0.53Kg.
In 1990 Moorcroft started to use year cyphers on their pottery i.e. symbols on the base to show the year an item was made, which may be different to the copyright date. The back stamps on this vase include © 96 for the copyright date plus the 'Gate' symbol which is the year cypher for 1996 hence confirming this year to also be the year of production.
The vase is in excellent condition.
This Moorcroft vase is available by ordering online only however if planning to visit the Antiques Centre in York then further pieces of Moorcroft pottery can be found in Cabinet 138, situated on the Lower Ground Floor.
