A very good quality and very rare medieval period bronze strap end.
This item which dates to circa 13th -14th century AD , shows much decoration.
The decoration takes the form of three small concave dishes each with Latin lettering inside ,it also shows initials to the square box junction top section.
The lettering was in connection with various saints and biblical studies.
This piece would have decorated the very end of a waist belt and acted as decoration and a symbol of status.
Ex. Hertfordshire excavations in the 1970s.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a certificate of authenticity.
