Description
A very rare to find bronze age horse harness decoration in the form of a large roundal.
This item is in wonderful allover condition ,and is free from repair and restoration.
It dates to circa 900 -600 BC and would have been likely one of three ,which would have been mounted on a leather harness ,which would have been positioned across the horses chest.
It still retains it attachment loop to the rear as shown and in its day would have promoted the fact that the warrior riding the horse, was a man of wealth and standing in the community.
Small perforation to the edge as shown.
From a South coast of England collection from the late 1960s.
Size 10.5 CM in Dia.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a certificate of authenticity.
