A William IV Old Sheffield Plate Entree Dish & Cover. Of shaped, rectangular, form with gadrooned detail and a naturalistic removable handle.
Marked for J. Dixon & Sons of Sheffield, circa 1835.
In very good original condition with a small loss of silver wire to one corner of the cover, as per the 3rd and last photos. The dish has scratches to the interior and underside commensurate with age and use. Free of dents and creases, the item has not been replated.
Approximate weight is 2 kilos.
