Victorian Silver Plated & Cut Glass Centrepiece with Mirrored Plateau. Henry Wilkinson & Co. of Sheffield, circa 1850 - 1870.
We have 1 in stock.
Superb Victorian silver plated centrepiece with four cut glass dishes. The centrepiece is raised upon the original mirrored plateau base. Both the centrepiece and plateau are raised on three heavily cast paw feet. The centrepiece features three oval beaded vacant cartouches and three rams head masks. The lower part of the centrepiece has three gadrooned dish holders and the top has similar to hold the large cut glass dish. The underside of the plateau is wooden.
In excellent order with no glass damage or loss of silver plate. The item is free of dents, splits and repairs.
The centrepiece and plateau are both marked as elcetro plate by Henry Wilkinson & Co. of Sheffield. This firm became a limited company in 1872, so this item predates this as the mark is just HW & Co, as opposed to HW & Co Ltd.
