Georgian, George III, set of four Sheffield Plated entree dishes and covers with matching crests, circa 1810. Features removable gadrooned handles and gadrooned decoration to the borders. The dishes and covers are marked 1,2,3 & 4.
The purchaser will receive a detailed report concerning the research into the crest. It relates to the arms of Edmeades. The original owner is likely to have been Henry Edmeades of Nursted Court, Meopham, Kent.
Condition is very good with moderate surface wear, commensurate with age and use as serving dishes. Some higher wear around the gadrooned borders and slight copper bleed. One handle slightly at an angle.
Approximate total weight of all four is 6 kilos.
Approximate dimensions of one are 28.5 cm length, 22 cm width and 16 cm height.
