A George III Old Sheffield Plate Hot Water, or Wine Jug with Fluted Detail, circa 1780 - 1800. Of baluster form and raised on a circular pedestal foot with beaded detail. The domed and hinged cover with beaded and fluted detail, terminating in a bud finial. Fluting to the lower half of the body, with a wooden loop handle.
In very good condition with moderate surface wear commensurate with age. Copper bleed around the spout area where there are traces of a repair. Light copper bleed to the raised detail areas. Free of any dents or creases.
