Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate Galleried Inkstand, circa 1780 - 1790. Raised on four claw and ball feet with three pierced bottle holders. The gallery and the bottle holders have beaded detail to the borders. There are three blue cut glass bottles, two for ink and one for pounce/sand.
In good condition with no glass damage. Areas of copper bleed to the ink bottle mounts. The inkstand is a little warped, but does not wobble on a flat surface. No damage to the pierced detail. Light surface wear commensurate with age. One bottle mount a little warped.
Approximate weight is 725 grams.
