Pair of George V Silver Beakers Inscribed 'From the Wardroom Mess HMS Mons 29th September 1915'. Both beakers are gilded to the interiors and feature girdle detail and flared rims.
Launched in May 1915, HMS Mons was an M class Destroyer and fought in the 1916 Battle of Jutland. She was broken up in 1921 after being declared surplus to requirements.
In excellent condition, free of dents, splits and repairs. Some polishing wear to the inscriptions and hallmarks.
Each beaker is hallmarked for London 1914 by S W Smith & Co.
Approximate weight for the pair is 134 grams or 4.3 troy ounces.
