A Large Early Victorian Silver Inkstand. Formerly part of the Eric William Towler collection from Glympton Park, Oxfordshire. Features two cut glass ink bottles, taperstick holder, wax compartment and pen recesses.
Hallmarked and part hallmarked in eight places for London 1839 by Richard Sibley II and retailed by Makepeace of London.
In excellent original condition with moderate surface wear commensurate with age. Missing a snuffer and it has some replacement nuts to the underside. No glass damage.
