A Moorcroft vase in the Bursting Bubbles design by Emma Bossons.
The height is 205mm (8.07inch).
The backstamps include ©2014 for the design copyright date and the 'Z' symbol which is the year cypher for 2015 showing this as the actual year the vase was made.
A sophisticated design with intricate tube lining and detailed art work offering an alternative to the colourful, vibrant designs often associated with Moorcroft pottery. Quite likely a nice fit with some of the minimalistic interior decoration in vogue at the current time.
The design also features in the 2015 Moorcroft Catalogue.
Given its size the vase may be considered large enough to be used as a separate stand alone item, perhaps in an entrance hall or reception room, as well as part of a collection.
In excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or crazing noted.
Nb Regarding assessing their pottery Moorcroft have a reputation for strict quality and around 2010 they introduced a new standard called a 'graded' item for items which may have had a very small issue but not sufficient to be marked as 2nd quality. They marked such items with a 'Gr' (a practice which only lasted a few years). On this vase there is a very faint mark on the base which may or may not read 'Gr' but in reality the mark is very difficult to read and very unlike other 'Gr' marks seen so likely not a 'Gr' mark at all, but simply mentioned for complete accuracy of description..
