Rachel Bishop joined Moorcroft in 1993 as only the forth designer in the company's history and quickly established herself as a senior designer, and her designs are now widely collected.
In 1990 Moorcroft started to use year cyphers on their pottery i.e. symbols on the base to show the year an item was made, which can of course be different to the design copyright date. The backstamps on this pin dish include an impressed 'Octagon' year cypher for 2004 showing this as the actual year of production.
A colourful, decorative item in excellent condition.
