A vintage Moorcroft vase in the stunning Victoriana design by Emma Bossons.
The height is an impressive 207mm (8.14inch) and the weight 0.505kg.
The backstamps include ©97 for the design copyright date and the Jug/Pitcher symbol which is the year cypher for 1999 showing this as the actual year the vase was made, hence a genuine vintage item.
The base markings also show this vase is a numbered item (this one been number 622) and additionally a Moorcroft Collectors Club piece signed by the designer, Emma Bossons.
A design featuring chrysanthemums, Scotch roses and winter aconite with a great deal of content and clear similarities to the floral influences of the Art Nouveau period. The tube lining and art work are really very impressive.
In excellent overall condition. In fact a better description might be perfect.
Given its size the vase is certainly large enough to be used as a separate stand alone item, perhaps in an entrance hall or reception room, as well as part of a collection.
