A vintage Moorcroft vase in the Violet design by Sally Tuffin.
The height is 98mm.
The base has the 'Jug/Pitcher' year cypher for 1999 showing this as the year the vase was made, hence a genuine vintage item.
Sally Tuffin was already a recognised designer when she joined Moorcroft in 1986 and took over the full responsibility for design following Walter Moorcroft's retirement in 1987. She was in fact only the third designer, after William and Walter Moorcroft, since the company began. Sally Tuffin designs are now very collectable.
There is a great deal of content in this 'eye catching' design which is certainly worthy of special mention. A very attractive vase ready to add to a collection.
This item has been closely inspected and assessed as in excellent condition. Furthermore, the vase is virtually free of any of the crazing often found on vintage Moorcroft pottery.
This Moorcroft vase in the Violet design is available by ordering online only however if visiting the Antiques Centre in York please visit Cabinet 138, located on the Lower Ground Floor, where further pieces of Moorcroft Pottery can be viewed.
