A Moorcroft plate in the Torridon design by Philip Gibson.
The base markings include the 'Octagon' symbol which is the year cypher for 2004 i.e. showing this as the year the plate was made.
The diameter is 223mm (8.77inch).
The plate is in excellent condition, in fact superb might be a more appropriate description. The tube lining and art work truly impressive. An item with a lot of content and a fine combination of craft and design.
Possibly of interest to a collector with an interest in natural history as well as Moorcroft items or just someone wanting to include a highly attractive piece of art pottery to a collection.
