A vintage Moorcroft Pin Dish in the Violet design by Sally Tuffin.
The diameter is 117mm and the height 17mm
The base has the 'Candlestick' year cypher for 1992 showing this as the year the pin dish was made, hence a genuine vintage item.
Sally Tuffin was already a recognised designer when she joined Moorcroft in 1986 and took over the full responsibility for design following Walter Moorcroft's retirement in 1987. She was in fact only the third designer, after William and Walter Moorcroft, since the company began. Sally Tuffin designs are now very collectable.
The pin dish has been closely inspected and assessed as in excellent vintage condition. There is only a minor amount of crazing, often associated with vintage Moorcroft pottery, present.
An attractive design on a very dark blue/black ground and could display nicely in a collection of vintage Moorcroft pottery.
