Pair of late Georgian Old Sheffield Plate crested entree dishes with covers and detachable handles. Both are of plain, rectangular, form with slanted gadrooned rims and matching detachable handles. Both are crested with what appears to be a standing roe deer with front hooves raised.
In excellent order with no dents, just surface wear and some copper bleed. The handles do not lock fully shut, but both operate fine and can be removed to turn the cover into another dish.
Approximate weight for the pair is 3.6 kilos.
Approximate dimensions of one are 30 cm length, 22.5 cm width and 15 cm height.
