Georgian Old Sheffield Plate Entree Dish & Cover, circa 1820. The cover with a rubbed in silver square containing the crest and motto for Rooper. Heavily gadrooned detail throughout and a lip around the base for staning in a warming dish. The handle is removable and the cover can be stored within the base.
In very good condition with moderate surface wear, light scratches and light pressure marks commensurate with age and use as a serving dish. One or two areas of light copper bleed.
Approximate weight is 2.15 kilos.
