A very good looking and exceedingly rare, English redware border terracotta pitcher.

This piece which in stunning condition ,dates to circa mid to late 17th century AD...

The name redware refers to the colour of the actual pottery and not to the exterior green glase.

These particular vessels were never fully Glased and were only covered where the contents may slash when 
pouring...

Free from restoration and repair.
