An Early Stuart Period Glazed Terracotta Cup Warmer.

A very rare stuart period ,glazed terracotta cup warmer.

This item which dates to the late 16th -early 17th century AD, is a rare survivor of the period.

This item would have been used by craftsmen and workers...
They would have been filled with hot embers or hot coals and put under stools or left at work benches to keep warm...

There has been some small old collection pieces of restoration in the corners as shown , however it is in a solid state and comes highly recommended...

All original glaze..

Size 10.5 CM in Height x 16.5 CM in Dia 

Ex. Private collection formed in the late 1970s.
