Description
A very difficult to find ,small solid silver royalist supporters / Marriage medal of King Charles 11.
This item which dates to circa 1660 -1685 AD, is in excellent allover condition.
It shows the profile portrait of Charles 11 on the obverse side whilst the reverse shows that of Catherine of Braganza his wife and was warn by supporters of the Royalist cause.
It is complete with original suspension loop as shown.
King Charles 11 restored the Monarchy to the united kingdom after the loss of his father Charles 1st to the forces of Oliver Cromwell and his roundhead forces...
Size 2.4 CM in Length.
EX. Private collection formed in the 1970s-1980s.
