A very rare to find, roman decorated military, bronze waist belt buckle and belt plate.
This item which dates to circa late 4th century AD, is in wonderful all over condition.
It still retains some elements of its original enamel inlay decoration as can be seen, however the leather buckle pin has been lost in antiquity.
This piece would have been mounted on a large thick leather belt in the day , and likely would have belonged to an officer.
Size 10.7 CM in Length.
