Description
A very good quality pair of Roman ladies solid silver small tweezer.
This item which dates to circa 1st -2nd century AD, is in fabulous allover condition.
They still retain their sliding wire pincher, which would keep the jaws of the tweezers in the closed position.
The jaws are still springy and the pinched still in working order.
It is quite likely that this piece was part of a cosmetic or toilet set in its day and because of it being made of silver, it quite likely belonged to a lady of wealth and standing in the community.
Size 4.5 CM in Length.
Lincolnshire collection formed 1975.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a display box together with a certificate of authenticity.
