Description
A very good quality British bronze age , decorated small socket and loop axe head. This item which dates to circa 900-600 BC, is a fabulous looking piece.
It still retains its original fastening loop , which a leather thong would pass through and secured the axe head to theb wooden shaft.
Small period chip to the corner of the cutting edge as shown.
Wonderful double V and line work decoration to the body of the axe.
This item comes highly recommended.
