A vintage Moorcroft footed bowl in the Leaf and Berry design by William Moorcroft.
The diameter is 115mm and the height 40mm.
Leaf and Berry is an early design which research indicates is one of the designs in the factory sales book for 1934 and 1935.
The MOORCROFT and MADE IN ENGLAND back stamps (both impressed) and positioned as they are on the base suggest a date range c1949 to 1986 for when the bowl was manufactured.
The bowl has been closely inspected and assessed as in excellent condition.
This Leaf and Berry bowl is available by ordering online only however if visiting the Antiques Centre in York a selection of other Moorcroft pottery can be found in Cabinet 138 which is located on the Lower Ground Floor.
