Georgian, George III, Silver Tea Set. Of lobed form with gadrooned borders. Each piece with the intial M to one side.
Each piece is hallmarked for London 1802 by Solomon Hougham.
In excellent condition with moderate surface wear commensurate with age. The interior of the sugar bowl is gilded. Traces of a repair to the cover near the hinge which has probably resulted in the clouding on the cover. The set is free of dents and creases. The sugar bowl with a tiny nick to one handle.
Approximate weight for all three pieces is 1.024 kilos or 32.9 troy ounces.

Teapot: 29 cm length, 11 cm width and 16.5 cm height.
Sugar: 18 cm length, 10.5 cm width and 10.5 cm height.
Cream: 13.5 cm length, 7 cm width and cm height.
