A 19th Century Turned Oak Circular Box Enclosing a Glazed Plaster Portrait Profile of Napoleon Bonaparte. The box cover with the initial N. The legend around the portrait profile reads 'Napoleon I Empere Des Francais Roi D'Italie'. This is the obverse of a mid 19th century medallion engraved by Armande - Auguste Caque.
In very good condition with no damage to the oak box or glass. Some white residue around the edges of the glass and discolouration to the very lower section of the portrait profile.
Approximate weight is 83 grams.
Approximate box dimensions are 8 cm diameter and 2.5 cm depth.
