This is an original René Lalique “Oursins” bowl, moulded in clear/opalescent glass, dating to c1935.
The model number is #3310. “Oursins” is the French for “Sea urchins”.
"R.Lalique France" is etched into the base of the bowl.
The bowl measures approximately 20.7cm wide and stands 8.5cm high.
The bowl is in good original condition apart from a single 1.5cm vertical crack to the rim and a couple of chips to the very vulnerable mouldings on which it stands on the base. There are also a few light scratches to the inside the bowl. All faults, except for the crack, are probably to be expected for a piece of this age and by the nature of its usage.
There is no original packaging.
