A Queen Anne Britannia Silver Two Handled Cup & Cover with the Arms of Stephens & Highmore. Domed Cover with Triple Knop Finial, Leaf-Capped Scroll Handles & Applied Girdle.
The armorial commemorates the marriage of John Stephens (1707 - 1770) and Mary Highmore (1711 - 1779) who were married at London Stone in 1740. The demi-eagle wings elevated crest is for Stephens. A heraldry report accompanies this item.
In excellent condition with light surface wear commensurate with age. The item is free of dents, creases, splits and repairs.
Hallmarked to the cup and cover for London 1706 by Francis Garthorne. The hallmarks are a little rubbed, but legible.
