A Vintage Moorcroft footed bowl in the Columbine design by Walter Moorcroft.
The diameter of the bowl is 115mm and the height 42mm.
Columbine was Walter Moorcroft's first independent design, drawn in 1947. Small numbers were produced until the early 1980's when he then designed a full range, initially on blue grounds but other colours followed.
With some Moorcroft items it can be difficult to assess age as some production runs could be quite long, and it was not until 1990 that Moorcroft began using year cyphers to show when an item was actually made.
However this bowl has the Royal Warrant label of the type in use from 1953 to 1978 hence is clearly of genuine vintage age.
Condition:
The bowl has been closely inspected and assessed as in very good to excellent vintage condition.
