A Large and very rare Saltglaze jar dedicated to the God Bacuss. This jar dates to 1820-1830 AD,and shows scenes on either side of a drunken Bacuss. This leads you to believe that this jar may have been used to hold and dispense ale in a tavern. Rare and interesting. In overall excellent condition but has some old hairline firing cracks to the Base and lip as shown. Ex. Yorkshire Collection.
