A set of three vintage Moorcroft bowls in the Powder Blue design.
Larger bowl Ht 70mm, Dia 99mm. Mid size bowl Ht 67mm, Dia 87mm. Smaller bowl Ht 57mm, Dia 83mm. (Diameters measured across widest section of body).
The Powder Blue range was designed by William Moorcroft and first produced in 1913. The range was designed specifically for Liberty's of London who had a strong connection with Moorcroft. It was sold by Liberty's and also used in their tearooms.
Production of the range finished in 1963 after 50 years but today collectors can enjoy putting together a set of genuine Moorcroft tableware items.
The bowls are in excellent condition and the colours remains bright.
Ideal to start or add to a collection or simply use as stand alone items for perhaps sugar, mints, sweets, biscuits etc.
The Powder Blue range could also be used along with other Moorcroft pottery to create a lovely table display. Perhaps with a central vase in the Moorcroft Bluebell Harmony pattern for example, with its mainly blue and white colourway, could be particularly attractive.
These bowls are available online only however if visiting the Antiques Centre please visit Cabinet 138 situated on the Lower Ground Floor to view other items of Moorcroft Pottery from early vintage pieces to more modern examples, plus a selection of collectibles and items of silverware.
