Victorian silver sugar sifter, featuring a geometric pattern pierced bowl with rolled and crimped edges. The twisted ladle shaped handle has a ball top finial.
The sifter is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1899, and the makers "G&J B" - G. & J. Bushell - Birmingham.
All hallmarks are crisp and clear.
The ladle shaped sifter is 12.4 cm (4.9") long. The pierced bowl is 4.5 cm (1.8") in diameter and 1 cm (.4") deep. It weighs 16 grams.
All measurements are approximate.
The sifter is in good condition. However, there is a slight kink in the handle, and there looks to have been a repair, in silver, where the handle meets the bowl.
