This is a mid Victorian Aspic Mould, made of copper and then tinned on the inside.
This is small 2 inches (5cm) long and 2 inches wide (5cm) 1 inch(2.5cm) deep.
This mould has no splits or holes, in very good condition.
Racing was very popular in late Victorian times and so you may well have returned to a feast with displays of horseshoes in Aspic Jelly.
Dates to around 1880, these were sold in large sets so you could create spectacular displays.
