A beautiful mid-late Victorian 15ct gold (tested) and cabochon garnet locket with gold bead and wire work decoration and glass locket back.
Condition: Front - four little gold beads are missing, garnet in great condition, surface scratches to the gold and minor tiny dents around the circumference. Back - two historically added strips of gold (the piece likely started out as a brooch, the fitting removed and a bale added), scratches, dimples, denting and buckling to the gold. Chip to the underside of the glass (smooth on top). Please see photos - wear commensurate with age and it’s still a beautiful pendant!
