Art deco period silver finger purse of plain design and with no personalisation/engraving. The purse was probably for snuff or pills, but could equally be used for coins. The inside is very clean … it looks like it has never been used for anything.
The purse is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1921, and the makers Adies & Lovekin Ltd. The suspension ring is also stamped with the lion standard mark.
The hallmarks are all clear.
The Purse is approximately 5 cm (2") by 4 cm (1.6") by .9 cm (.3") deep. The suspension ring is 2 cm (.8") in diameter and each chain is 5.5 cm (2.2") long. It weighs 17g.
The case is in very good overall condition, with only light surface scratching, and a couple of deeper scratches to the rear. The hinge and catch work well.
