This letter opener and magnifying glass is a clever piece of modern re-cycling/re-purposing.
The handles are silver handles from an old cutlery set. They carry matching hallmarks for Sheffield, 1902, and the maker Martin Hall & Co. The hallmarks are all very worn and barely readable.
The opener's blade is a new steel blade that has been securely married to the handle. The magnifying glass is similarly a new item.
The handles each measures 7.2 cm (2.9") long. The letter opener blade is 11.8 cm (4.6") in length. The magnifying glass has a diameter of 5.2 cm (2").
All measurements are approximate.
The set is not presented in any relevant packaging.
