Excellent, very rare, mid 20th century French Bronze reduction of the monument to Marshal Ney by Jean Lambert-Rucki (1888-1967). The monument was unveiled in 1946 in his birthplace of Saarlouis, Germany.
Marshal of the Empire Michel Ney (1769-1815) was one of the most celebrated commanders of his time. He was finally executed and buried at Pere Lachaise cemetery.
Jean Lambert-Rucki was a Polish Avant-Garde artist and sculptor, famous for Cubist and Surrealist figures.
