Early Victorian pair of silver plated candlesticks. Features foliate decoration and a monogram to the bases. A very attractive pair with wonderful shaped bases. The removable drip trays with gadrooned rims.
Each candlestick is marked to the base for Elkington & Co. with a date letter for 1853.
In excellent condition with surface wear commensurate with age. Wear to the silver plate in places, but does not alter the appearance. Few pressure dints to the base rim, but nothing that warrants attention. Both sticks stand perfectly straight.
Approximate weight for the pair is 1.6 kilos.
