A rare 1796 Pattern British Cavalry Officer's Sword, manufactured by Gibson's, Thomson & Craig's. The hilt has a gilt brass single knucklebow guard with twin shell guards. The straight double edged blade is engraved with manufacturer and GIIIR monogram and is in excellent condition. The black leather scabbard has gilt brass mounts.
