British Officer's folding Bowie knife and sheath.

A very rare 19th century British Officer's private purchase folding Bowie knife, supplied by the 'Army & Navy Co-Operative Society Ltd, from the Sheffield trade manufacturers. The chequered grip scales are of composite material with an escutcheon on one side which also serves as a blade lock when pressed. The blade is single edged with clip point. The knife retains its original leather sheath.
