Description
A fine British Georgian Yeomanry Cavalry Officers Sabre with Blue and Gilt blade circa 1800. The broad curved single edged blade with false edge, if Blued and Gilt for 60% of its length, bearing almost all bluing with traces of gilding. It bears the Georgian monogram on one side with 'Warranted' below.The reverse with armorial trophies. The hilt is of gilt brass single knuckle-bow with lancets and down turned quillon, with Lions head pommel and back-strap the white chequered grip has minor age cracks. The scabbard is of black leather with extremely decorative gilt brass fittings. A fine and rare sword overall. Note:- Please contact the Centre for P&P costs before purchasing this sword online.
