A British 1831 Pattern George V Mameluke Hilt Officer's Sword. Retailed by Hamburger Rogers & Co of Covent Garden, London, with a 'Wilkinson' design proof mark below langet. Single-edged curved blade, engraved for 50% of its length on both sides with King's coat of arms. Gilt brass crossguard with GvR cypher in central cartouche on both sides. Steel nickel plated scabbard retaining some of the original plating with gilt brass twin suspension rings and chape mount.
