This large carving knife rest is made from silver and mother of pearl.
The silver is fully hallmarked for London, 1908.The maker's mark is too rubbed to identify. The remaining hallmarks are crisp and clear.
The (filled) base of the knife rest is 5.6 cm (2.2") in diameter, and it stands 6.8 cm (2.7") high. The mother of pearl supports span 11 cm (4.3").All measurements are approximate.
The knife rest is in good condition. There are a couple of shallow dings to the silver.
